![]() 3.6 sees the TraceMonkey engine speed up by yet another 15% with the Beta 1 installment. In version 3.5, Firefox upgraded its Javascript rendering engine to a better version, called TraceMonkey. Mozilla Firefox 3.6 is following the Google Chrome fundamentals of effectively speeding up the opening and closing of tabs, and the added performance boost for the underlying Javascript engine. Overall Performance Enhancements Javacript Performance This post highlights some of my findings with regards to the new version – particularly in areas related to CSS and Javascript. The new version promises faster page loading times and improvements to the underlying Javascript engine, TraceMonkey. Apparently, the 3.6b1 version has already been available to the masses since 19th October 2009 – well before the said release date of 28 October 2009. Just today (28 october 2009), I downloaded the Mozilla Firefox 3.6 Beta 1 (codenamed Namoroka) off the Mozilla Firefox nightly builds.
